What a day! We lucked out with gorgeous weather and a very excited birthday girl! The long-awaited birthday party finally arrived and Hayden was all smiles as her guests arrived. She realized for the first time that she has TWO grandmas and TWO pops! The sight of both grandparents brought a huge grin to her face as she announced that she has "TWO" of both! Hayden loved loved loved the attention and she certainly soaked it in :) Unwrapping presents was interesting this year as it seemed that all of us may be there through the next day as she took her time opening each gift and playing with it. From a keyboard/karaoke instrument, to a tunnel, a tent, a bubble lawnmower, her first laptop, her first Braves jersey, and plenty of books, Hayden had more than plenty of new toys!
My favorite memories from the day include her singing Happy Birthday into the microphone, blowing out her two birthday candles all by herself and Hayden holding her fingers up and saying "I'm Two! Tuck your finger in" (she usually includes her thumb when she shows two and we remind her to tuck her finger in).
What a memorable day! Thank you everyone for helping us wish our baby girl a second birthday!!
