Holiday Cheer

A scary stranger...

... with a beard, glasses, and dressed in red, aka Santa Claus. Let's just say Hayden was beyond shocked and horrified not only by the fact that I placed her on his lap but (in her mind) I left her! She was so upset that all she could do was scream at the top of her lungs!

Happy Turkey Day!

We made our first Thanksgiving dinner this year and everything turned out great except for the smoked turkey (that Gare made on the Egg) which turned out fantastic! Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving in Knoxville

A couple cute stories...

Hayden is so funny these days... here are a couple little stories that I thought were pretty cute...

To celebrate the upcoming holiday, her class made turkeys out of construction paper. We are of course showcasing the turkey on our buffet table and Hayden loves to point to it and say "turkey" and then we ask her what does a turkey say and she replies "gobble, gobble, gobble...."

Our friend Rachel gave Hayden a hat and mittens as a holiday gift and Hayden loves putting her mittens on her hands. She loves it so much that she occasionally takes her socks off her feet and puts them on her hands and screams out "mittens!"

Gary and I tried to play hide and seek with Hayden the other day... Gare and I covered our eyes, started counting, got to around 3 and realized that we were not alone... Hayden was standing right next to us covering her eyes and counting along with us :)

What a fun age!
